What To Wear On A Fall Road Trip In Vermont

If I had to pick a favorite time of year, fall is the undisputed winner. I love when the air gets crisp, the leaves start to change, and the chunky sweaters start to come out. This year, we spent a weekend in Vermont during peak fall foliage and I cannot imagine a better way to kick off the season (and the fashion). I opted for one cozy-chic look per day for the driving/exploring portion and then one slightly elevated look for dinner. Here are links to everything I wore:

I wore this look to dinner in Manchester, VT on our first night and it was my favorite from the whole trip! I bought both the trousers and the chunky sweater for the trip and I’ve worn both several times since. Both come in multiple colorways which I love! Thinking of investing in the sweater in tan and the trousers in black before the season ends.

I loved this look as my casual/day look for day 2. These UGG slippers are one of my favorite purchases this year and I get such a cool girl vibe every time I put them on. I like them even more than the trending platform version because I feel like I’ll be able to wear them year-after-year and they’re a bit more elevated in my opinion. This coat is several years old but I found a similar one which I’ve linked below!

I wore this look during the daytime in Vermont and I’ve repeated it several times since. It’s the perfect casual/cozy/chic look for fall. I’ve had this tan blazer for over a year and it is probably one of my most worn items. It goes with most outfits in my closet so while it’s not inexpensive I have found it to be worth the cost because of how many times I’ve worn it. I love that it can easily dress up a casual outfit but also transitions seamlessly to evening/dinner looks. The trouser jeans are also a forever favorite. The color is more of a creamy white than what appears in the photo and I’ve worn them in all seasons easily!

This outfit was supposed to be my dinner look for day 2 but I ended up staying in my daytime outfit because we ate somewhere very casual. I did wear this look later in the month and it’s one of my favorites for fall. I’ve had these FRAME jeans for years and I love them because they make your legs look super long and lean – I get compliments every time I wear them. Also, if you’re going to invest in one bag and one bag only this year let it be this one from YSL. Never have I gotten so many uses out of a bag in such a short period of time. Just take a look at my Instagram and you’ll see how many times I carried it during NYFW and beyond!
