A Festive Holiday Tablescape

This post was created in partnership with UrbanStems

Like so many of you, the holiday season is my favorite time of year. The excitement and festivities bring me so much joy, and I try to make the most of every moment during these last months of the year. For me, that starts with creating a festive atmosphere at home. I have boxes upon boxes of Christmas decorations, and I get excited each year thinking about what theme I want to go with and how I plan to capture the warmth and love that symbolizes the season for me.

I knew I wanted to include touches of red in my décor this year, and what better way to incorporate the color of the season than with fresh blooms from UrbanStems.

I always love to use natural elements for my holiday centerpieces, and when UrbanStems launched same-day delivery in Atlanta just in time for the holidays, I knew I wanted to create a bold red tablescape with their seasonal peonies.

I immediately fell in love with The Cherry arrangement and knew these were the perfect rich red to create a sophisticated and festive vibe. I mix-and-matched a total of 80 stems from their Cherry and Snow Peony bouquets to bring my vision to life. They also have a bouquet named The Claus, which uses both red and white peonies, if you prefer not to have to mix and match on your own. I love how UrbanStems makes it so easy to achieve the look you’re going for – they offer double and triple versions of almost all their bouquets so you can create dimension on your table with different sizes and heights while still maintaining a cohesive look.

These were the biggest, most stunning peonies I’ve ever seen and I couldn’t imagine a better way to adorn my table this season. If you’re hosting an event or dinner, I suggest having your peonies arrive 1-3 days before your event. For reference, these photos were taken 48 hours after the blooms were delivered. They arrive in bud form and peak approximately 2-3 days after arrival. Mine stayed fresh for a full week with regular water changes.
